Save the Animals was created in loving memory of Lorrie Rhodes, a compassionate caregiver, devoted animal advocate, and treasured friend to both people and pets. Lorrie was a retired Registered Nurse with a Doctorate in Nursing who dedicated her life to caring for others. Although she had no children of her own, she poured her love and nurturing spirit into the countless animals and people whose lives she touched.
A devoted cat lover and passionate supporter of Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue, Lorrie was always looking for ways to help. She shared her talent for knitting by creating beautiful handmade purses, blankets, and other special gifts that were given with pet adoptions, making each adoption even more meaningful. Her generosity extended to every rescue event, where her homemade brownies became a beloved tradition and a sweet reminder of her kindness.
